About Institute
IIT Madras is a residential institute with about 550 academic members, 8000 students, and 1250 administrative and support staff members. It is a self-contained campus set on 250 hectares of lovely wooded land. The campus lies in Chennai, which was previously known as Madras.
About Program
Through a goal-oriented summer mini-project undertaken at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, the IITM – Summer Fellowship Programme of two months with stipend is designed to increase awareness and interest in high-quality academic research among young Engineering, Management, Sciences, and Humanities students.
Eligibilities
Candidates pursuing the 3rd year of B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engg) or the 3rd or 4th year of an Integrated M.E./M.Tech. programme, 1st year of ME/M.Tech/M.Sc./M.A, MBA with an outstanding academic background in terms of high ranks in university examinations are encouraged to apply, highlighting their academic performance and achievement, including papers presented at seminars, projects executed, design contests [IIT students are not eligible for this opportunity].
Period of the Project
The program’s duration could range from May 23rd to July 22nd, 2022. (The schedule may be adjusted to fit the needs of the students.)
