About Internship
Amazon Future Builders Program (AFBP) – For MBA students in India, Amazon’s main leadership development programme. Through our eight-week Incubator, AFBP provides an opportunity for individuals to accelerate their career at Amazon by receiving exposure to the breadth of businesses Amazon has to offer as well as the depth of business knowledge required to create a long-term career at Amazon.
Following the AFBP Incubator, participants will join business sectors that require a diverse range of functional, domain, and business skills, positioning them for long-term success at Amazon. AFBP allows students to negotiate complicated, real-world business problems while also increasing their learning through exposure to multiple verticals within each business field. This programme also provides networking opportunities to meet the senior most management of each company. AFBP provides an excellent chance for mentorship, career coaching, and networking with peers, managers, and other Amazonians.
The AFBP Incubator is a one-of-a-kind immersion programme that provides all AFBP participants with a similar starting point for their Amazon career. Each participant will have the opportunity to learn about multiple Amazon companies, including Consumer, Devices, Finance, Operations, and Prime Video, during the Incubator. Participants in the AFBP will have the opportunity to learn about a variety of Amazon business sectors and services. At the same time, the Incubator will offer functional training to ensure that participants are comfortable with Amazon terminologies, tools, and systems.
Finally, AFBP participants will be able to hit the ground running as soon as they join their business area following the Incubator period, thanks to a cultural immersion in Amazon’s peculiar culture, which includes Writing at Amazon, ways of working, adoption of mechanisms, and communicating at Amazon.
Business Areas: Each business area provides AFBP participants with challenging learning opportunities, allowing them to build a comprehensive understanding of the business through gaining depth of knowledge in each domain and function. The breadth of experiences can help AFBP members advance faster in their careers at Amazon, allowing them to take on greater leadership roles. Rotations between functions and businesses are available in each business area to enrich the learning experience and provide a comprehensive view of the company.
At the conclusion of the AFBP programme, participants will have gained a wide set of experiences that will enable them emerge as future leaders capable of taking on significant leadership responsibilities and building a long-term career at Amazon.
Eligibilities
- Basic Qualifications
- Students in First year from full-time MBA program
- 0-4 years of Experience
- Successful completion and graduation with a MBA degree prior to start date at Amazon in 2023.
- PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Demonstration of interest in working in the fast paced technology industry
- Proof that you are capable of both strategic thinking along with detailed execution
- Consistent track record of taking full ownership and delivering results
- Comfortable with “hands-on” management of tasks, and proven ability to manage multiple, contending priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills, managing multiple stakeholders and partner teams
