Software Development Engineer Job Description
Are you interested in joining the CS Phoenix team, which provides technical solutions for CS Schedule Management (CSSM) and Central Data Management (CDM), which are internal workforce management suites developed for Amazon’s Customer Service workforce management needs? CDM is a critical component for capacity planning because it serves as the single source of truth for critical data for the entire WWCP. CSSM, on the other hand, is used for effective schedule management of 50K+ agents across multiple sites and has around 20+ clients.
We provide feature development/enhancement, automation, self-service, and operational/engineering excellence solutions for workforce management, and as a result, we need Software Development Engineers (SDE) who can constantly innovate to build technology solutions to solve complex problems. Both products use React-JS as the frontend programming language and Java as the backend, with a focus on AWS technologies such as lambda/Fargate hosting, DynamoDB as the database, EDX for data publishing, and so on.
Your role will have a direct impact on the scheduling of agents across multiple sites to efficiently manage customer contacts and look for innovative ways to improve agent/customer experience through automation and self-service solutions. This position necessitates your ability to learn quickly, solve complex engineering problems, and work on disparate and overlapping technologies/tasks.

Eligibilities
BАSIС QUАLIFIСАTIОNS
- 1+ years of experience in software development
- Programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- A solid grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (based on a BS or MS in CS or related field)
- Understanding of the tools of the trade, including an understanding of any of modern programming languages (Java / JavaScript / C/C++).
- Proven educational track record with sound data structure and algorithm knowledge
РREFERRED QUАLIFIСАTIОNS
- Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science or Engineering
- Strong, object-oriented design and coding skills (C/C++ and/or Java preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform)
- Knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages a plus
- Experience with distributed (multi-tiered) systems, algorithms, and relational databases
- Experience in optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization)
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
- Previous technical internship(s) preferred
- Experience in design and development of systems with new Machine Learning models is a big plus.
