Purchasing Analyst Job Description
Responsibilities
- Purchase & Supply Chain – Supplier management, Supply-chain knowledge(Experience in both areas are most preferred while any one of them would suffice)
- Know-hows on Shortage management and Supplier management
- Send Ford’s prod. demand(forecasted schedules) to identified Suppliers via “Production Plan Files” every week
- Engage with Suppliers to receive the filled-in “Production Plan Files” with the committed Supply plan
- Resolve Supplier queries and ensure Ford receives minimum weekly supply horizon visibility as per guidelines
- Have regular touch point meetings with Suppliers/internal CFT in different markets across Globe
- Lead the discussions with CFT & map the Value-Stream-Mapping(VSM) of shortage affected Supplier-commodities
- Lead & create scientific analysis of Commodities involved in Supply-chain shortage and develop solutions/mitigation plans
- Ensure Work deliverables are met on a Weekly & Monthly basis
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships
- Mainitaining good relationship with Suppliers to execute Business needs
- Demonstrate “can-do” attitude and behaviours
- Demonstrate ability to stretch for Departmental activities
Eligibilities
- Technical aptitude(Particularly Electronics/Electrical industry experience to understand and respond to queries from Suppliers. Collate multi-tier level data for analytics, Chip grouping & formulating mitigation plans)
- Good team player
- Excellent communication skills(written and spoken)
- At least basic knowledge of Microsoft applications (Excel, Powerpoint and higher level skills highly regarded)
- Ability to plan workload and manage time to respond to business needs
- Flexibility to work in different shift timings per business needs
- Leadership skills(SG-3 and above requiring minimal Supervision )
