Students working at HP who are engaged in university-affiliated apprenticeship programmes are referred to as apprentices. In countries with specialized apprenticeship programmes, this term is commonly used. University students who work at HP during their studies or during the summer breaks between semesters are known as college interns. College Intern is only used in a few countries where it is not common to differentiate amongst students based on the academic year they have completed.

Roles and Responsibilities | HP Careers
- •Perform the accuracy check of standard cost that is being maintained in the database
- •Assist with report extraction from ERP and compilation using MS Office tools
- •Assist with period over period fluctuation analysis of inventory related costs
- •Being part of the business review meetings
- Initiate on ad-hoc projects to bring efficiencies in the regular process
