Responsibility
- Designs functional specifications of applications to address business and user needs
- Identifies internal and external factors which may impact requirements
- Documents requirements including customer journey, features, user stories, cross-team dependencies, separating core product build vs. integration features, outlining what is in and out of scopeÂ
- Determines objectives, dependencies, resources, timelines, metrics, costs and risks associated with the proposed plans and initiatives
- Helps identify problems, opportunities and methods for improving existing business processes and workflows
- Uses a variety of business process and workflow design tools and techniques
- Supports the evaluation of trade offs from the incorporation of different elements into the design and their impact on overall functionality, interoperability, efficiency and costs of the software
- Presents a compelling business case for proposed solutions
- Participates in the development of systems during various stages of the development lifecycle
